High-Throughput Neural Screening
Functional neural defects have been difficult to study with standard screening methods unless they produce an overt behavioral defect. Nine Plus Two is developing a high-throughput neural screening system based on evoked potential recordings of all sensory systems (hearing, vision, olfaction). This system will not only allow large scale screens, such as automated morpholino screens, they can serve as a platform for screening drugs and genetic therapies at an unprecedented level with a model vertebrate.
Connectomics
Nine Plus Two is working to bring connectomics systems for small animals to the laboratory benchtop. We are leveraging our experience in microscopy, high-performance computing and image processing to develop turn-key, benchtop systems.
